I grew up in Borger, Texas. I graduated from Lubbock Christian University. I have worked in several school districts as a substitute teacher, clerical aide, and teacher. Before joining the staff at Seagraves ISD, I lived in South Sioux City, Nebraska with my husband and oldest daughter, Haylee. I worked as a substitute teacher there. We moved back to Texas in February,2000 when my husband was transferred to Seagraves. I joined Seagraves ISD as a Junior High Math Teacher in August of 2000. My youngest daughter, Hope was born in 2002. I commuted from Brownfield until 2004 when we moved to Seagraves. I enjoyed my time with Junior High age kids however I also welcomed the change when approached about moving to Elementary to teach 5th grade. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching 5th grade. I hope to have many more years at this level. I love this age because they are able to do so much independently but yet they still love school and their teachers and have the desire to learn. I want my students to leave my room self- confident and self motivated to be successful in life. |
