I received my BA in English from Texas Tech in Spring, 1993. I earned a Master's Degree in Library Science from University of North Texas in Fall, 2004. I have been married for 14 years to Bryan. I started my teaching career in 1993 here in Seagraves where I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade reading and English for seven years. In 2000, I became the district librarian and have had the priviledge of being in the libraries ever since. I love working with students of all grade levels from PK through 12th grade. I am also priviledged to be the Junior High Student Council Sponsor. I have twelve fantastic students who plan and implement many projects for our junior high. Although I undertake many tasks, I am and will always be a teacher. I tutor and assist students as needed. |

No one was more surprised then me when I was hired to work in the library.
I first worked in the library when I was in the 7th grade. I always got excited when new books arrived. My favorite part was looking at the glow on the students' faces when they came into the library and saw all of the new books displayed.
Now, years later, I still love to see the children's faces light up when they walk into the library and see all of these books waiting to be read. |

First, I worked as a substitute for 8 years then as a 4th grade assistant. This is my 3rd year working in the junior high library. I am married and have 2 children. |

I was born and raised in Lamesa, Texas where I attended Lamesa High School, the home of the Golden Tornadoes.
I have been married to the same wonderful man for 29 years. He is the Chief of Police of Seagraves, Texas. We have lived here for about four years. We have four grown children: Stephanie, Stacy, Nathan, and Natalie. We have 6 adorable grandchildren (3 boys and 3 girls): Logan, Gage, Bradlee, Bailee, Arielle, and Krislynn. I also have a dog, Roxie. This is my second year as the library assistant at the high school I absolutely love it and the people I work with. We are all one big happy family at our school. The kids are great too! |
